Miss Bhutan 2010

September 26: It was a night of entertainment, prestige and glamour all rolled up into one. The 2nd Miss Bhutan beauty pageant had it all. Sonam Choden Retty was crowned Miss Bhutan 2010 at a contest held in Thimphu last evening.

Kinley Yangden Dorji from Thimphu took the position of the 1st runner up and Tenzin Norden from Haa was the 2nd runner up.

The 18 contestants began the evening captivating the audience. The judges were then put to the test as each contestant completed the first three segments; Traditional Dress, Evening Gown and Talent.

After the first three rounds, the 18 contestants were shortlisted to five.

Prior to introducing the top five some of the contestants were selected for Miss Congeniality and Miss Beautiful Skin, Miss Natural Beauty and Miss Talented among others.

The top finalists were then announced in random order. The final segment of the Question and Answer involved asking each contestant a different question by the panel of judges.

Tshokey Tshomo Karchung was the first to hold the Miss Bhutan title in 2008.
